Mental health America (MHA) is launching an evidence-based mobile app intended to help people cope with mental illness and advocate for mental health awareness and accessibility in a more approachable and efficient way. MHA enables user-friendly access through various functions in the app. These tools fulfill the ultimate mission through monitoring, education, screening, and communication, being customizable and responsive to people needing support and to assist with general mental wellness.

I come to this project wanting a system that would look at mental wellness with a refreshing perspective that challenges the previous presentations of this subject. I pursue the idea that speaks to the mental journey that people all go through when our health changes, forming the basis of a fun, accessible, and approachable UI/UX system.

MHA’s app icon, a four-leaf clover, is inspired by plants for how they are able to brighten people’s spaces. They are great at representing a higher life satisfaction, as well as the power of coping with stress and promoting mindfulness.
